Dodge Nitro vs. Saturn VUE Review

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Dodge Nitro is quite certainly more agile than the Saturn, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Nitro's engine is tremendously larger than the VUE's. Bear in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Dodge Nitro will have picked up and gone by the time the Saturn finally gets moving. The Dodge Nitro packs quite a wallop compared to the Saturn VUE when it comes to torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration.

Utility
Neither the Dodge Nitro nor the Saturn VUE has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
You most definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Dodge Nitro than with the Saturn VUE, because both offer similar mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Nitro offers a bit more head room than the Saturn, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Dodge Nitro make it significantly more spacious for your passengers than the Saturn VUE.

Dimensions
The Saturn VUE's tank is almost the same size as the Nitro's, though the Dodge Nitro's is a tad bigger. The Dodge Nitro and the Saturn VUE compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The Dodge doesn't pale in comparison to the Saturn VUE with respect to gas mileage. The Dodge Nitro consumes a lot of gas compared to the Saturn VUE. In terms of MSRP, the Nitro costs significantly less than the Saturn VUE.

Warranty
The Saturn and the Dodge Nitro have the same basic after-sale protection.
