Dodge Nitro vs. Jeep Wrangler Review

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Jeep Wrangler and the Dodge Nitro definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Nitro's engine is slightly smaller than the Jeep Wrangler's, but not terribly so. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Jeep Wrangler isn't much more powerful than the Dodge Nitro.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Dodge over the Jeep Wrangler. The Dodge Nitro is a better choice than the Wrangler with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of luggage or animals. The Dodge outpulls the Jeep Wrangler by a large margin.

Convenience
The Jeep Wrangler's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Nitro.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Wrangler offers a bit more head room than the Dodge Nitro, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Dodge Nitro provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Jeep does.

Dimensions
The Jeep Wrangler's tank is almost the same size as the Nitro's, though the Nitro's is a tad larger. The Wrangler and the Dodge Nitro compete for the same parking spaces. The Jeep Wrangler's shorter wheelbase will give a sprier feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the Dodge Nitro is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Dodge Nitro to the dealership as the Jeep. The Jeep won't tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the Nitro will. The Nitro is significantly less expensive than the Jeep Wrangler when it comes to MSRP.

Warranty
The Jeep and the Nitro have the same basic after-sale protection.
