For an everyday boost in your driving experience, the 2011 Dodge Nitro SUV provides exciting pop and versatility that will transform the way you drive.

Powering the 2011 Dodge Nitro are a base 210-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 or an optional 260-horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6.  Both engines are mated to a four- or five-speed automatic transmission and the Nitro can be equipped with a two-wheel or part-time four-wheel drive system.  Fuel economy numbers ring in at 15-16 mpg in the city and 20-22 mpg on the highway.  With the proper equipment, the 2011 Nitro can tow up to 5,000 pounds and competes with other SUVs like the Nissan Xterra and Suzuki Grand Vitara.

The 2011 Dodge Nitro is a box-like SUV that looks burly and bold.  New exterior colors, optional hood stripes, and standard 20-inch wheels are new for 2011 and join standard body-colored bumpers, heated mirrors, and a sunroof.  For your driving pleasure, a sport-tuned suspension is optional.  Dodge has also renamed the Nitro’s trim levels to Heat, Detonator, and Shock. 

On the inside, the 2011 Nitro SUV seats five in two rows of seats and boasts 76 cubic feet of total cargo space.  The rear bench can fold flat, as well as recline for maximum versatility.  A six-speaker media center, auxiliary audio input, and SIRIUS Satellite Radio are standard.  An optional 368-watt, 8-speaker Infinity stereo with a 6-disc CD changer and Uconnect multimedia system features a 6.5-inch display screen along with phone and portable audio device connectivity.  It can also act as a Wi-Fi hotspot so you can surf the web on your laptop.  Leather seat skins, heated front seats, TV with DVD entertainment system, and a hard drive based navigation system are optional.

For driving safety, all 2011 Dodge Nitro’s come with four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist, along with all-speed traction and stability control systems.  Active head restraints and a tire pressure monitoring system are also standard.  The optional parking assist with sonar-based warning system helps you get in and out of tight spaces with ease.  Inside the Nitro’s tough-box chassis are dual-front and two-row side curtain airbags.
