With their comparable turning radiuses, the Dodge Journey and the Toyota quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Journey's engine is considerably smaller than the Toyota's. Remember that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the other hand, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Highlander is significantly more powerful than the Dodge. Torque equals pickup, and the Toyota will have picked up and gone by the time the Dodge Journey finally gets moving.

Utility
Neither the Toyota Highlander nor the Dodge Journey has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. The Highlander is a better choice than the Journey regarding hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of loot or big pets.

The Dodge Journey is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Highlander. With respect to gas mileage, the Toyota Highlander and the Dodge Journey don't differ much. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Toyota Highlander is somewhat more economical than the Journey. The Dodge Journey is significantly less expensive than the Toyota Highlander regarding MSRP.
