The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Dodge Journey is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Kia Sorento. Regarding fuel economy, the Dodge Journey is somewhat better than the Sorento, but not by much. Regarding MSRP, the Dodge Journey costs almost as much as the Sorento (though the Sorento is a bit cheaper).

Utility
The Journey will quite certainly prove more practical than the Kia Sorento for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The Dodge Journey is likely a better choice than the Kia Sorento when it comes to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of equipment or sizeable pets. The Kia Sorento outpulls the Dodge Journey by a large margin.

The Kia Sorento's fuel tank will need to be replenished a tad more often than the unit in the Dodge Journey.

Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Journey's front cabin compared to the Kia. The Sorento offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Journey does.
