With their similar turning circles, the Dodge Journey and the GMC Terrain quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Journey's engine is slightly smaller than the GMC's, but not terribly so. The Dodge Journey has no lessons to learn with respect to torque from the GMC Terrain.

Utility
The Dodge Journey will definitely prove more practical than the GMC Terrain for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Dodge Journey is likely a better choice than the GMC Terrain when it comes to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of luggage or massive dogs. Towing is significantly more the GMC Terrain's forte than it is the Dodge Journey's.

The GMC Terrain will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the Dodge.
