Dodge Durango vs. HUMMER H3 SUV Review

The Dodge Durango is likely a better choice than the H3 as far as transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of cargo or sizeable animals. The Dodge Durango will quite certainly prove more practical than the HUMMER H3 for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Dodge outpulls the H3 by a massive margin.

Dimensions
The Durango is slightly heavier than the HUMMER H3. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Durango than the HUMMER H3 because of its more capacious tank. The HUMMER H3 and the Dodge Durango compete for the same parking spaces. The HUMMER H3's shorter wheelbase will likely give a nimbler feel in daily traffic. However, the Dodge is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Convenience
You quite certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the HUMMER H3 than with the Dodge, as both offer comparable ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The HUMMER H3 is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Dodge Durango. As far as fuel economy, the HUMMER is slightly better than the Dodge Durango, but not by much. The H3 won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Dodge Durango. In terms of MSRP, the Durango costs approximately as much as the HUMMER (though the HUMMER is a little cheaper).
