Dodge Durango vs. Chevrolet TrailBlazer Review

Utility
The Dodge Durango will most definitely prove friendlier than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Dodge Durango is a better choice than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of gear or big dogs. Towing is considerably more the Dodge Durango's forte than it is the Chevrolet TrailBlazer's.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Durango than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer because of its bigger tank. The Chevrolet and the Dodge Durango compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You most definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Chevrolet TrailBlazer than with the Dodge Durango, as both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The TrailBlazer is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Dodge. In terms of gas mileage, the TrailBlazer and the Durango don't differ much. The Dodge Durango won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer will. The Dodge Durango isn't much pricier than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer as far as MSRP.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer is quite certainly sprier than the Dodge Durango, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The TrailBlazer's engine is a bit smaller than the Dodge Durango's, but not terribly so. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Dodge is substantially more powerful than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer. The Chevrolet TrailBlazer could learn a lesson or two from the Dodge when it comes to pickup.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Durango offers a bit more head room than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The Dodge and the Chevrolet TrailBlazer have the same basic after-sale protection.
