It costs approximately the same to get the Dodge Dakota to the dealership as the Equator. When it comes to gas mileage, the Suzuki Equator is a bit better than the Dodge Dakota, but not by much. The Dodge Dakota doesn't pale in comparison to the Suzuki Equator as far as fuel economy. Regarding MSRP, the Dodge Dakota costs considerably more than the Suzuki Equator.

Utility
The Dodge Dakota is a better choice than the Suzuki Equator regarding transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of loot or big dogs.
