The Dodge Dakota's bigger trunk will accommodate more massive things than the Ford Ranger. Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Dodge over the Ranger. The Dodge Dakota is a better choice than the Ford Ranger in terms of transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of stuff or big pets. Towing is substantially more the Dakota's forte than it is the Ford Ranger's.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Dodge Dakota packs quite a punch and will knock the Ranger down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With that kind of horsepower, the Dakota is a genuine speedster.
