Dodge Charger vs. Subaru Legacy Review

Neither the Subaru Legacy nor the Dodge Charger has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. The Subaru outpulls the Dodge by a large margin.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Dodge Charger packs quite a wallop and will knock the Subaru Legacy down a few rungs. On the other hand, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With that kind of horsepower, the Dodge Charger is a true sports car.

Dimensions
The Subaru's tank is almost the same size as the Dodge Charger's, though the Charger's is somewhat bigger. The Subaru Legacy and the Dodge Charger compete for the same parking spaces. The Subaru Legacy's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a sprier feel in daily traffic than the Charger.

Convenience
You won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Subaru than with the Dodge Charger, because both offer similar mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Legacy to the dealership as the Dodge Charger. The Dodge Charger won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the Subaru will. When it comes to fuel economy, the Subaru Legacy is somewhat better than the Dodge Charger, but not by much. As far as MSRP, the Subaru Legacy costs considerably less than the Dodge Charger.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Legacy is definitely nimbler than the Dodge Charger, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Charger's engine isn't much more sizeable than the Subaru Legacy's. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Dodge is significantly more powerful than the Legacy.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Subaru offers a bit more head room than the Dodge Charger, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Charger make it considerably roomier for your passengers than the Subaru Legacy.
