Dodge Charger vs. Pontiac G8 Review

Cost
As far as gas mileage, the Charger and the Pontiac G8 don't differ much. Producing a precise fuel economy evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Dodge Charger and the Dodge Charger perform almost similarly when it comes to gas mileage. Regarding MSRP, the G8 costs about as much as the Dodge Charger (though the Dodge Charger is slightly cheaper).

Utility
Neither the Dodge nor the Pontiac G8 has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Convenience
The Pontiac G8's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Dodge Charger.

Comfort
The G8 is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Dodge.

Dimensions
The G8 and the Dodge Charger compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Dodge Charger and the Pontiac G8 are genuine speedsters.

With their comparable turning radii, the Pontiac G8 and the Charger likely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Pontiac G8's engine is considerably more massive than the Charger's. Note that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. The Pontiac G8 packs quite a wallop compared to the Dodge when it comes to torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Pontiac is substantially more powerful than the Dodge.

Warranty
The Pontiac G8 and the Dodge Charger have the same basic after-sale protection.
