Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Dodge Charger to the dealership as the Mercury Sable. The Dodge doesn't pale in comparison to the Mercury Sable when it comes to fuel economy. The Mercury Sable won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Dodge Charger. The Mercury isn't much less pricey than the Dodge Charger in terms of MSRP.

Utility
Neither the Mercury nor the Charger has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. Towing is substantially more the Dodge Charger's forte than it is the Mercury's.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Dodge Charger than with the Mercury Sable.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Mercury offers a bit more head room than the Dodge Charger, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Mercury Sable make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Dodge.

The Dodge Charger's tank is approximately the same size as the Sable's, though the Mercury Sable's is slightly larger. The Dodge Charger and the Mercury compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Charger packs quite a punch and will knock the Sable down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Dodge and the Sable most definitely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Mercury Sable's engine is substantially larger than the Dodge Charger's. Bear in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Mercury Sable is substantially more powerful than the Dodge. The Mercury Sable packs quite a punch compared to the Dodge Charger regarding torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration.

The Dodge Charger and the Mercury have the same basic after-sale protection.
