Dodge Charger vs. Lincoln MKZ Review

Utility
The Lincoln and the Dodge can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Dodge Charger packs quite a punch and will knock the Lincoln down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Lincoln MKZ's tank is roughly the same size as the Dodge Charger's, though the Dodge Charger's is a little larger. The Lincoln and the Dodge Charger compete for the same parking spaces. The Lincoln MKZ's shorter wheelbase will give a sprier feel in daily traffic. However, the Dodge Charger is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Convenience
You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Lincoln MKZ than with the Dodge Charger, because both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Dodge Charger to the dealership as the Lincoln MKZ. Producing an accurate fuel economy evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the MKZ and the MKZ perform roughly comparably with respect to gas mileage. Regarding fuel economy, the Dodge Charger is a little better than the Lincoln MKZ, but not by much. The Lincoln MKZ is considerably pricier than the Dodge Charger as far as MSRP.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Lincoln MKZ and the Dodge likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lincoln MKZ's engine is substantially bigger than the Dodge's. Keep in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Lincoln is significantly more powerful than the Dodge Charger. The Lincoln MKZ packs quite a wallop compared to the Dodge Charger in terms of torque, which is the force that lets you accelerate quickly.

Comfort
While the rear of the Dodge Charger provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Lincoln, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Charger isn't quite as generous as the MKZ's.
