Dodge Charger vs. Lexus IS 350 Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Dodge Charger is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Lexus IS 350. The Dodge Charger won't tax your gasoline budget substantially more than the Lexus IS 350 will. There isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Lexus IS 350 is a bit more economical than the Dodge Charger. The Lexus IS 350 is substantially more expensive than the Dodge Charger as far as MSRP.

Utility
Neither the Lexus IS 350 nor the Dodge Charger has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
You most certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Lexus IS 350 than with the Charger, because both offer comparable ranges.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Charger's front cabin compared to the Lexus IS 350. The ampler interior dimensions of the Dodge Charger make it substantially more spacious for your passengers than the IS 350.

Dimensions
The Lexus IS 350's tank is approximately the same size as the Dodge Charger's, though the Dodge Charger's is a bit bigger. The Lexus IS 350 and the Dodge Charger compete for the same parking spaces. The Lexus IS 350's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a sprier feel in daily traffic than the Dodge Charger.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Lexus and the Dodge Charger are genuine speedsters.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the IS 350 is most certainly more agile than the Dodge Charger, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The IS 350 has a more massive engine than the Dodge Charger. Remember that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. Torque equals pickup, and the Lexus IS 350 will have picked up and gone by the time the Dodge finally gets moving. The Dodge could learn a lesson or two from the Lexus IS 350 with respect to torque.
