Dodge Charger vs. Lexus HS 250h Review

Utility
Neither the Lexus nor the Dodge Charger has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, the Dodge is a true sports car.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Charger than the Lexus HS 250h because of its bigger tank. The Lexus and the Charger compete for the same parking spaces. The Dodge's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the flip side, the Lexus HS 250h may give a more agile feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
The Dodge Charger's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Lexus HS 250h.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Dodge Charger is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Lexus HS 250h. With respect to gas mileage, the Lexus HS 250h has the Dodge beat. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the HS 250h is the winner with respect to gas mileage. With respect to MSRP, the Lexus HS 250h costs considerably more than the Dodge Charger. The Lexus HS 250h will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the Dodge Charger.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Lexus HS 250h and the Dodge Charger definitely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lexus's engine is significantly smaller than the Dodge Charger's. Keep in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. The Lexus HS 250h could learn a lesson or two from the Charger when it comes to torque. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Dodge is significantly more powerful than the Lexus HS 250h.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Dodge offers a bit more head room than the Lexus, there really isn't much of a difference. The Dodge provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Lexus HS 250h does.

Overview
The basic warranty that comes with the Dodge Charger isn't quite as generous as the Lexus HS 250h's.
