Dodge Charger vs. Ford Fusion Review

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Dodge packs quite a wallop and will knock the Ford Fusion down a few rungs. On the other hand, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Dodge Charger and the Ford Fusion quite certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Ford's engine is slightly smaller than the Charger's, but not terribly so. The Ford Fusion has no lessons to learn in terms of pickup from the Dodge Charger.

Utility
The Dodge Charger and the Ford Fusion can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
The Dodge's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Ford Fusion.

Comfort
The Dodge Charger is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Fusion.

Dimensions
The Ford Fusion's tank is almost the same size as the Charger's, though the Charger's is a bit bigger. The Ford Fusion and the Dodge Charger compete for the same parking spaces. The Ford Fusion's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a nimbler feel in daily traffic than the Dodge.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Ford Fusion to the dealership as the Charger. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Ford Fusion is a bit more economical than the Dodge Charger. With respect to fuel economy, the Ford Fusion and the Dodge Charger don't differ much. Regarding MSRP, the Ford Fusion costs significantly less than the Dodge Charger.

Warranty
The Ford Fusion and the Dodge have the same basic after-sale protection.
