2010 Dodge Charger Overview
For reliving muscle car glory, while maintaining modern day safety and fuel economy standards, there is hardly a better choice than the 2010 Dodge Charger.

What moves the Dodge Charger is a fuel-efficient 190-horsepower, 2.7-liter V-6 and a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. For those who want the beast, there is the 368-horsepower, 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8. For true speed freaks there is the SRT8 model that boasts a heart-pumping 425-horsepower, 6.1-liter V-8. Transmission options include four- and five-speed automatics. Power is delivered to a two- or all-wheel drive system, the latter featuring a front-axle disconnect feature to allow rear-wheel drive dynamics. Fuel economy in the Charger is 16-18 mpg in the city and 23-26 mpg on the highway (not including SRT8). Power is far superior to the Chevrolet Impala, and fuel economy is competitive with the turbocharged Ford Taurus SHO.

Roominess is the Dodge Charger’s forte, as evidenced by the front shoulder room and rear legroom metrics being superior to those of the Ford Taurus and Chevrolet Impala. The base model offers quality cloth seats for five, a power driver’s seat and a CD player. The SXT model includes Sirius Satellite Radio, while a sunroof, power passenger seat, heat for both front seats, leather trim for the steering wheel and shift knob, Boston Acoustics stereo and a navigation system are optional.

The R/T model adds performance leather seating with suede inserts, dual zone automatic climate control and an optional TV with DVD entertainment system. The R/T performance group also features high performance suspension with load-leveling and height-control shocks. The Uconnect multimedia system with 6.5-inch display screen features phone and portable audio device connectivity, and can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot so you can surf the web on your laptop.

Four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist are optional on the base model, along with traction and stability control systems. Dual front and two-row head airbags are standard across the model lines, and front-side airbags are available. Airbags and a sturdy chassis yield Five-Star front impact ratings from NHTSA.

Classic Detroit muscle has returned in the form of the 2010 Dodge Charger, which balances power (HEMI® V-8) with fuel economy and a wealth of advanced features to offer a kinder, gentler muscle car for the masses.
