Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Caliber than the Scion xD because of its bigger tank. The Scion xD and the Dodge compete for the same parking spaces. The Scion xD's shorter wheelbase will likely give a sprier feel in daily traffic. On the other hand, the Dodge is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.
