The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Dodge Caliber is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Hyundai. The Dodge Caliber doesn't pale in comparison to the Hyundai Elantra Touring regarding gas mileage. With respect to MSRP, the Caliber costs approximately as much as the Hyundai Elantra Touring (though the Hyundai Elantra Touring is a little cheaper).

Utility
The Dodge and the Hyundai Elantra Touring can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Dodge Caliber outpulls the Hyundai Elantra Touring by a massive margin.

Convenience
The Dodge's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Hyundai Elantra Touring.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Hyundai Elantra Touring offers a bit more head room than the Dodge, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Elantra Touring offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Dodge, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Caliber's tank is almost the same size as the Hyundai Elantra Touring's, though the Hyundai Elantra Touring's is somewhat larger. The Dodge and the Hyundai Elantra Touring compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Hyundai and the Dodge Caliber definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Hyundai's engine isn't much larger than the Dodge's.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Dodge Caliber isn't quite as generous as the Elantra Touring's.
