Dodge Caliber vs. Audi A3 Review

Neither the Audi A3 nor the Dodge Caliber has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity.

Dimensions
The A3 is tremendously more bulky than the Caliber. The Dodge Caliber's tank is almost the same size as the Audi A3's, though the Audi A3's is a bit bigger. The Audi A3 and the Caliber compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Dodge Caliber's fuel tank will need to be replenished slightly more often than the unit in the Audi A3.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Dodge Caliber is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Audi A3. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Dodge Caliber is somewhat more economical than the Audi. The A3 won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the Dodge Caliber will. When it comes to MSRP, the Dodge Caliber costs tremendously less than the Audi A3.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Audi A3 and the Caliber quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Audi A3's engine isn't much bigger than the Dodge's. The Dodge Caliber could learn a lesson or two from the Audi A3 when it comes to pickup. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Audi A3 is tremendously more powerful than the Dodge Caliber.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Caliber's front cabin compared to the Audi A3. The Dodge Caliber provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the A3 does.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Dodge Caliber isn't quite as generous as the Audi A3's.
