2011 Dodge Caliber Exterior

2011 Dodge Caliber Overview

Filled with various trim levels that can accommodate almost any day-to-day need, the 2011 Dodge Caliber five-seat hatchback/crossover is as versatile and efficient as they come.

Dodge adds several minor changes including six new exterior paint colors, a new navigation/audio system with Sirius Travel Link, and a retuned steering for 2011.  The 2011 Dodge Caliber is available in trims: Express, Heat, Mainstreet, Uptown, and Rush.  A 2.0-liter, 158-horsepower four-cylinder engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while an optional 2.4-liter, 178-horsepower four-cylinder engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission or an optional CVT with manual-shift mode.

For a crossover/hatchback, the 2011 Dodge Caliber receives excellent fuel economy ratings of 22-24 mpg in the city and 27-32 mpg on the highway.  Competing with Toyota Matrix, the 2011 Dodge Caliber sits on standard 15-inch steel wheels, while 17-inch painted aluminum and 18-inch aluminum or chrome-clad wheels are optional.

The 2011 Dodge Caliber seats five occupants in standard cloth or optional leather-trimmed seats.  The Express is bare bones and most features can only be had as options, including air conditioning, power mirrors, locks and windows with speed-sensitive door locks, 60/40-split rear seat that folds flat and reclines, and a fold-flat front passenger seat for more cargo room.

Other features vary by trim level, and include keyless entry, iPod controls, an audio input jack for mobile devices, leather-trimmed seats, beverage-cooling bin, six-way power driver’s seat, and satellite radio.  A voice-activated navigation and audio system (Uconnect), sunroof, heated front seats, and a six-disc CD changer are also available as options.  The Caliber is a great car to take to the outdoors and is outfitted as such, with options like a rechargeable flashlight stored in the cargo area and speakers in the lift gate that fold down to add some acoustic flavor to any gathering.

When it comes to safety, what separates the 2011 Dodge Caliber from the competition is a standard driver’s knee airbag to keep you positioned properly in the event of an accident.  Additional safety equipment includes side-curtain airbags, Smart Key (which immobilizes the engine in the event of a theft attempt), an electronic stability system, traction control, and available antilock braking system.

Spend more time enjoying your drive and the destination, while saving on gas with the 2011 Dodge Caliber.
