Dodge Avenger vs. Pontiac G6 Review

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Pontiac G6 and the Dodge Avenger most certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Avenger's engine is a bit smaller than the Pontiac G6's, but not terribly so. The Pontiac G6 has no lessons to learn with respect to torque from the Dodge.

Utility
Neither the Pontiac G6 nor the Avenger has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. Towing is significantly more the Dodge Avenger's forte than it is the Pontiac's.

Convenience
You'll definitely have to take the Pontiac for a fill-up more often than the Dodge Avenger because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Dodge Avenger offers a bit more head room than the G6, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Dodge Avenger provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Pontiac G6, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Avenger than the Pontiac G6 because of its larger tank. The Pontiac and the Dodge Avenger compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Pontiac G6 to the dealership as the Dodge. The Pontiac G6 will tax your gas budget substantially more than the Dodge Avenger will. The Dodge Avenger won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Pontiac G6. The Pontiac G6 is considerably more expensive than the Dodge in terms of MSRP.
