Dodge Avenger vs. Mitsubishi Galant Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Mitsubishi Galant to the dealership as the Dodge Avenger. The Dodge Avenger isn't much less expensive than the Mitsubishi with respect to MSRP.

Utility
Neither the Galant nor the Dodge Avenger has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Mitsubishi Galant for a fill-up roughly as often as the Dodge Avenger.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Dodge Avenger offers a bit more head room than the Mitsubishi Galant, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Dodge offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Galant, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Mitsubishi Galant's tank is roughly the same size as the Dodge Avenger's, though the Dodge Avenger's is a tad larger. The Dodge Avenger and the Mitsubishi Galant compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Dodge packs quite a punch and will knock the Mitsubishi Galant down a few rungs. However, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Dodge Avenger and the Mitsubishi quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Avenger's engine is a little smaller than the Galant's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Dodge Avenger isn't much more powerful than the Galant.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Dodge Avenger isn't quite as generous as the Mitsubishi Galant's.
