Neither the MAZDA6 nor the Avenger has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Dodge Avenger packs quite a punch and will knock the Mazda MAZDA6 down a few rungs. On the other hand, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Dodge Avenger and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Dodge to the dealership as the Mazda. The Mazda MAZDA6 isn't much costlier than the Dodge with respect to MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Mazda MAZDA6 and the Dodge Avenger definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Avenger's engine is a little smaller than the Mazda MAZDA6's, but not terribly so. The Dodge Avenger has no lessons to learn when it comes to pickup from the Mazda MAZDA6.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Dodge Avenger offers a bit more head room than the Mazda MAZDA6, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Mazda MAZDA6 is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Dodge Avenger.

The Dodge Avenger and the MAZDA6 have the same basic after-sale protection.
