The Mazda MAZDA3 and the Dodge Avenger can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Dodge Avenger packs quite a wallop and will knock the Mazda MAZDA3 down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Dodge Avenger is tremendously more bulky than the Mazda MAZDA3. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge than the Mazda MAZDA3 because of its larger tank. The Mazda MAZDA3 and the Avenger compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the MAZDA3 than with the Dodge Avenger.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Dodge Avenger to the dealership as the Mazda MAZDA3. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Avenger is a tad more economical than the Mazda MAZDA3. With respect to MSRP, the Dodge Avenger costs considerably more than the Mazda MAZDA3.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Mazda MAZDA3 and the Avenger most definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Avenger has a larger engine than the Mazda MAZDA3. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Mazda MAZDA3 could learn a lesson or two from the Dodge Avenger when it comes to pickup.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Avenger's front cabin compared to the MAZDA3. While the rear of the Dodge Avenger provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Mazda MAZDA3, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

The Dodge Avenger and the Mazda MAZDA3 have the same basic warranty.
