The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Kia Spectra to the dealership as the Dodge Avenger. The Kia Spectra won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Dodge Avenger. The Dodge Avenger won't tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the Kia Spectra will. The Dodge Avenger is substantially costlier than the Kia Spectra as far as MSRP.

Utility
The Kia Spectra and the Dodge Avenger can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Kia Spectra than with the Avenger.

The Dodge Avenger is tremendously more bulky than the Kia. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Avenger than the Kia Spectra because of its bigger tank. The Kia Spectra and the Dodge compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Dodge Avenger packs quite a wallop and will knock the Spectra down a few rungs. On the other hand, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Kia Spectra is quite certainly nimbler than the Dodge Avenger, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Kia Spectra's engine is considerably smaller than the Dodge Avenger's. Keep in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the other hand, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque equals pickup, and the Dodge Avenger will have picked up and gone by the time the Kia finally gets moving. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Dodge Avenger is significantly more powerful than the Kia Spectra.
