Dodge Avenger vs. Buick LaCrosse Review

Handling
The Buick LaCrosse and the Dodge Avenger have roughly similar tires. With its tighter turning radius, the Dodge Avenger is quite certainly more maneuverable than the Buick LaCrosse, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The LaCrosse's engine isn't much more massive than the Dodge Avenger's. The Buick has no lessons to learn as far as torque from the Avenger.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Buick LaCrosse over the Dodge Avenger. The Dodge Avenger outpulls the Buick LaCrosse by a big margin.

Convenience
The Dodge Avenger's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Buick LaCrosse.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Dodge offers a bit more head room than the LaCrosse, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Dodge Avenger offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Buick, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Avenger is a bit heavier than the Buick. The Dodge Avenger's tank is about the same size as the Buick's, though the Buick's is a bit bigger. The Avenger and the LaCrosse compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Dodge to the dealership as the LaCrosse. The LaCrosse will save you money at the pump compared to the Avenger. With respect to gas mileage, the Buick LaCrosse beats the Dodge Avenger. The Dodge Avenger isn't much less expensive than the Buick LaCrosse regarding MSRP.
