Dodge Overview:
For Dodge, the news is not what’s new, but what has been dropped.  Just one year after unveiling the Durango Hybrid, Dodge has pulled the plug on both the Durango Hybrid and gas-only Durango.

As for the existing fleet, “Dodge” is synonymous with power.  Seen as a direct threat to the Ford Mustang, the muscular Challenger boasts a 372-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 and utilizes a modern-retro look making the Challenger just as menacing on the outside as it is under the hood. The Challenger SRT8 takes fast to a new level with a 425-horsepower, 6.1-lter V-8.  The SRT8 is available in a new Plum Crazy trim for 2010.

The five-seat, four-door Caliber hatchback features a high performance turbocharged engine, revised instrument cluster, while the SXT trim receives new 18-inch wheels and a revised suspension. The Caliber competes with the Saturn Astra, Toyota Matrix and VW Rabbit.

The full-size Charger sedan has three engine options and new standard side-curtain airbags, while the Charger SRT8 model boasts a 425-horsepower V-8.

The Avenger midsize sedan succeeds the Stratus with increased, distinctive styling, copious amounts of space (100 cubic feet of cabin volume) and a flexible V-6 engine.  All Avengers implement a new IP gauge cluster, driver and front-passenger active head restraints and a four-wheel antilock braking system.

The Viper SRT10 sports car boasts 600-horsepower from its powerful V-10 engine and is available in coupe and convertible versions.

After a 2009 release, the mid-size Journey crossover SUV receives more standard safety features to 2010.  The Journey blends the practicality of a minivan with the capability of a sports utility vehicle and the overall efficiency of a passenger car.

Dodge’s staple in the minivan segment, the Grand Caravan is one of the last remaining minivans offered by an American automaker.  The Grand Caravan uses its Stow’n Go second-row seating to maximize passenger and cargo room.

The Nitro SUV features a Load ‘N Go sliding cargo floor and retuned brakes and suspension for better handling.

The full-size Ram 1500 pickup truck went through a redesign in 2009 and continues into 2010 with aerodynamic styling and a bold, unique grille. The Ram 1500 boasts impressive comfort and storage innovation with the RamBox and a 380-horsepower, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8.

The Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks receive a redesigned exterior, while new interior amenities mirror the Ram 1500.  Both the 2500 and 3500 have the same powertrains that can handle the most demanding off-road tasks.

The Dakota midsize pickup truck features a 302-horsepower, 4.7-liter V-8 engine and new front and rear suspension components.

The full-size Sprinter van and wagon seat up to 12 passengers and comes with an emergency exit window on its 2500 and 3500 series. The Sprinter van receives an updated 185-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel for extra power.
