Chrysler Town and Country vs. Kia Rondo Review

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Town and Country packs quite a wallop and will knock the Kia Rondo down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Kia Rondo is most certainly sprier than the Chrysler Town and Country, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Kia Rondo's engine is significantly smaller than the Chrysler Town and Country's. Bear in mind that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. The Chrysler Town and Country packs quite a wallop compared to the Rondo in terms of torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Chrysler Town and Country is substantially more powerful than the Rondo.

Utility
The Chrysler Town and Country and the Kia Rondo can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Kia Rondo for a fill-up about as often as the Chrysler.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Kia's front cabin compared to the Chrysler Town and Country. The ampler interior dimensions of the Rondo make it substantially roomier for your passengers than the Chrysler.

Dimensions
The Chrysler Town and Country is considerably more bulky than the Rondo. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Town and Country than the Kia because of its bigger tank. The Kia Rondo and the Town and Country compete for the same parking spaces. The Kia Rondo's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a nimbler feel in daily traffic than the Chrysler Town and Country.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Kia is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Chrysler Town and Country. The Chrysler Town and Country won't tax your gasoline budget substantially more than the Kia will. The Kia Rondo won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Chrysler Town and Country. Regarding MSRP, the Chrysler costs tremendously more than the Kia Rondo.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Town and Country isn't quite as generous as the Kia Rondo's.
