Chrysler Town and Country vs. Chevrolet Express 2500 Review

Utility
The Chevrolet Express 2500 will most certainly prove more convenient than the Chrysler Town and Country for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Chevrolet Express 2500 is likely a better choice than the Chrysler Town and Country with respect to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of suitcases or dogs. The Chevrolet Express 2500 outpulls the Chrysler Town and Country by a sizeable margin.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Chevrolet packs quite a punch and will knock the Chrysler Town and Country down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet Express 2500 is considerably more bulky than the Chrysler Town and Country. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Chevrolet Express 2500 than the Chrysler because of its larger tank. The Chrysler Town and Country and the Express 2500 compete for the same parking spaces. The Chrysler Town and Country's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic than the Chevrolet.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Chrysler Town and Country is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Express 2500. With respect to MSRP, the Chrysler Town and Country doesn't cost much less than the Chevrolet Express 2500.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Chrysler Town and Country is quite certainly sprier than the Chevrolet Express 2500, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Town and Country's engine is tremendously smaller than the Chevrolet Express 2500's. Note that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the flip side, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Chevrolet Express 2500 is tremendously more powerful than the Town and Country. Torque equals pickup, and the Chevrolet Express 2500 will have picked up and gone by the time the Chrysler finally gets moving.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet Express 2500 offers a bit more head room than the Chrysler Town and Country, there really isn't much of a difference. The Chrysler Town and Country offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Chevrolet Express 2500 does.

Warranty
The Chevrolet Express 2500 and the Town and Country have the same basic after-sale protection.
