2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Overview
Super-sized tasks require super-sized vehicles. And the spacious, powerful, and fully-equipped, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV definitely fits the bill.
Powering the 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is a 320-horsepower, 5.3-liter Flex-Fuel V-8, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Both two- and four-wheel drive systems are available. The four-wheel drive system now comes standard with a single-speed transfer case or an optional two-speed unit, and the 5.3-liter V-8 engine comes in a regular or lighter all-aluminum version with exactly the same performance characteristics. The Tahoe delivers fuel economy of 15 mpg in the city and 21 on the highway, as well as a 1,838-pound payload rating and an 8,400-pound tow rating. An integrated brake controller comes in the optional towing package and is new for 2011.
The 2011 Chevy Tahoe features several seating and cargo configurations in its three available trims: LS, LT and LTZ. Seating for up to nine occupants with 109 cubic feet of cargo room is superior to the competing Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada. Most interior metrics, such as headroom, are better than or equal to competitors. The LS model comes nicely equipped with XM Satellite Radio, a CD player and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while a navigation system and a TV with DVD entertainment system and video game connectivity are optional.
Take a step up to the LT trim which comes with available heated leather seats, a power liftgate and the Z71 off road suspension package - so you can mix it up in the rough. A nine-speaker Bose audio system is available across the model line, while the top-end LTZ offers a ten-speaker Bose surround sound system. The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe also boasts USB connectivity, and the Interior Plus Package enhances comfort and convenience with Bluetooth capability, three-zone climate control, and rear audio controls. The “Texas” edition includes a heavy-duty trailer package and a locking rear differential, for the best work-vehicle capability the Tahoe has to offer.
Keep you and yours safe with the 2011 Tahoe’s tough truck chassis that teams with dual front, front-side, and three-row head airbags. Four-wheel antilock brakes, traction and stability control systems and available rear parking sensors further enhance safety. The available blind-spot warning system notifies the driver when the Tahoe begins to merge into an occupied lane.
The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe has the power and utility to handle any task comfortably, whether it’s hauling your boat, or the soccer team.
