2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Overview
If you need a big SUV with great fuel economy that can help keep Lake Tahoe blue, the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid retains ample power and utility of its gas-only sibling, while emitting less carbon dioxide.

A two-mode, 300-volt hybrid system blends two electric motors with a 332-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-8 to achieve big-time power and fuel efficiency. Regenerative braking captures energy from braking friction to recharge the hybrid system’s battery, for essentially free power. Active Fuel Management, which shuts down power to half the cylinders while you are cruising, and electric power steering further boost fuel efficiency.

The 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid comes in two- and four-wheel drive, and achieves fuel economy ratings of 20-21 mpg in the city and 20-22 mpg on the highway. City fuel economy is superior to that of the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango hybrids. The two-wheel drive model features 50 percent improved fuel economy over the regular Chevrolet Tahoe, while towing up to 6,200 pounds.

The 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid comes nicely equipped with a long list of standard features including XM Satellite Radio, USB connectivity for portable media devices, Bluetooth phone connectivity and a navigation system that displays hybrid system power flow information. OnStar satellite communications, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather seats with heat come standard. XM’s NavTraffic with live traffic updates, a nine-speaker Bose audio system and a rear seat TV with DVD entertainment system add great electric features to enhance your riding and driving experience.

Seating up to nine passengers with 109 cubic feet of cargo room is superior to the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango. Most interior metrics, such as hip room and front headroom, are better than or equal to competitors.

Passenger crash safety is handled by a tough truck chassis teaming with dual front, front-side, and three-row head airbags. This team yields Five-Star front impact ratings in government testing. Four-wheel antilock brakes, traction and stability control systems and available rear parking sensors further enhance safety.

A state-of-the-art two-mode hybrid system couples with a dominant V-8 to make the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid a winner in towing and gas-saving competitions. Luxurious materials and cutting-edge electronics make it a winner with all your passengers too.
