Undergoing a major redesign last year, the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 returns with a brand-new six-speed automatic transmission, standard stability control, and standard side curtain airbags. It features aggressive styling, solid towing capacity, and a choice between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models.

The Suburban 2500 comes in two trim levels, from the well-equipped LS to the upscale LT. The standard Vortec 6.0 liter V8 engine pumps out a prodigious 352 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque and provides big time towing power. The heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission features manual driver shift control to manually select shifts with the push of a button.
