2009 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 Overview
The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 sets itself apart from the crowd with raw power, impressive towing capacity, abundant passenger and cargo room with enough cutting-edge tech features to keep everyone entertained.

The Suburban 2500 comes in three trim levels; the base LS, well-equipped LT to the upscale LTZ. The standard Vortec 6.0-liter, 352-horsepower V-8 engine with Active Fuel Management and variable-valve timing pumps out 383 lb.-ft. of torque and provides big time towing power. The heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission features manual driver shift control to manually select shifts with the push of a button.  The Suburban 2500 is related to the GMC Yukon XL and competes with the Ford expedition EL, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia.

Amenities are plentiful, inside and out. 18- and 20-inch aluminum wheels announce you’ve arrived in style. Standard power adjustable pedals make it easy for drivers of all sizes to enjoy the ride. Ultrasonic rear park assist provides an audible beep to indicate your distance from objects when backing up. An optional Bose® nine-speaker audio system with dual-play CD/MP3/DVD player provides excellent acoustic clarity. Bluetooth connectivity, General Motor’s OnStar® 8.0 with Turn-by-Turn Navigation and heated and cooled seats with a new cloth fabric are available.  A third-row DVD screen will accommodate rambunctious passengers on long road trips.

With seating capacity up to nine passengers, the Suburban 2500 is the perfect choice for big families. Cargo room is voluminous, with a maximum of 137.4 cubic feet with the optional third-row seat removed and second row seat folded. Towing capacity is extremely competitive, with a maximum of 9,600 lbs. on 2WD models. The Suburban is one of the safest vehicles in the full-size SUV class. Dual front airbags and head-curtain side airbags for all rows are standard, with a rollover sensor for added protection. Also standard is the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, improving vehicle stability during emergency maneuvers. The standard anti-lock braking system helps to maintain control by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking.

If you are looking for a vehicle that can accommodate the biggest of families on trips outside of suburbia—look no further than the 2009 Chevrolet Suburban 2500.
