2009 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Overview
The 2009 Chevy Silverado 3500HD is the classic one-ton truck. Powerful, sturdy and unfailing, the Silverado 3500HD is the best choice to carry any load you desire. Mostly a carryover from the 2008 model, the 2009 model provides the same great body and options as previous editions.

Available in four trims, two box lengths and two engine types, the Silverado 3500HD gives you endless options in a legendary truck. First choose a trim. Available trims include the LT1, LT2, LTZ and the Work Truck. All are available in two- or four-wheel drive. Next chose a regular, extended or crew cab body. Then choose a box length. Depending on your trim and cab choices, a 157.5-inch or 167-inch box is available. Finally, choose the best engine to suit your hauling needs. While a substantial 6.0-liter, 353-horsepower V-8 engine comes standard in every truck, a 6.6-liter, 365-horsepower turbo-diesel is also available. An automatic six-speed transmission comes standard with either engine you choose. Outfitted with the right options, this truck has a payload of 5,127 pounds and can tow up to 9,500 pounds.

Not only is the Silverado 3500 powerful, but it is safe as well. The truck's ABS brakes are top of the line. OnStar comes standard to assistant driver and passengers as needed. Cancelable ront-impact airbags protect both the driver and the passenger. Anti-theft devices include an ignition disable device, a remote keyless entry, a panic alarm and a theft-deterrent radio (except in the Work Truck trim).

The price is on a level with its competitors the Ford F-350 and the GMC Sierra 3500HD. Add some bonus touches such as a remote vehicle starting system, an engine block heater and parking assist (except in the Work Truck trim) for just a little more.

The 2009 Chevy Silverado 3500HD is a classic and dependable one-ton truck that is a perennial favorite among buyers looking for strength, power and dependability – traits exemplified by both this truck and its buyer.
