Fuel economy for the Express 3500 with the 4.8-liter V-8 is an EPA-estimated 11/17 mpg city/highway. Fuel economy ratings for the diesel powertrain configurations are not available at this time. The Express 3500 has a much higher maximum payload of 3413 pounds over the 2482 pounds for the 2500.
Inside, the Express 3500 has multiple interior configurations. The Cargo Van has a maximum seating capacity of 5 passengers with the rear bench optional. It also has six standard D-ring tie downs for cargo. The Passenger Van offers seating for 12 passengers across 4 rows standard.
