2009 Chevrolet Express 3500 Overview
A carryover from the 2008 edition, the 2009 Chevrolet Express 3500 retains all the great features of previous models.  Whatever you’re hauling, the Express 3500 is a terrific value.

Choose between three different trim options: LS and LT for passengers and the Work Van version for cargo.  The Work Van is the least expensive and has plenty of room to store and move everything you need.  The passenger versions come in LS and LT trims.

While there is a trade off in size and fuel efficiency, the Express 3500 gets about 12 MPG in the city and 18 MPG on the highway.  This is on par with other competitors in its class including the GMC Savana and Ford E-350.

The 2009 Chevrolet Express 3500 is available with three different engines.  A 4.8-liter, 270-horsepower V-8 or a 6.0-liter, 319-horsepower V8 are available for those who prefer unleaded at the pump.  For those who lean toward diesel, the Duramax Diesel 6.6-liter V-8 is also an option.  Each of the vans comes standard with a four speed automatic transmission and real-wheel drive.

The 3500 comes chock full of safety features.  Smart airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control and adaptive cruise control come standard in each vehicle.  Also included is a two-way security system that lets the driver know if the vehicle has been tampered with. While safety is one of the most important aspects of the Express 3500, the car comes with several other great options.  These perks include power locks and windows, tinted glass and several different lighting packages.

The 2009 Chevrolet Express 3500 has the top of the line body and can handle a significant work load.  Often outshining its sister models, the Chevrolet Express 1500 and Chevrolet Express 2500, the 3500 has everything you could desire in a passenger/cargo van.
