Chevrolet Colorado vs. Nissan Titan Review

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Nissan Titan over the Chevrolet Colorado. There's no clear winner between the Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan regarding hauling capacity. Towing is markedly more the Nissan's forte than it is the Chevrolet Colorado's.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Nissan Titan packs quite a punch and will knock the Colorado down a few rungs. However, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With that kind of horsepower, the Nissan Titan is a true speedster. The Chevrolet Colorado is likely to feel a tad slow because of its high horsepower-to-weight ratio compared to the Nissan Titan.

Dimensions
The Nissan Titan is substantially heavier than the Chevrolet Colorado. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Titan than the Chevrolet Colorado because of its larger tank. The Nissan Titan rides lower than the Chevrolet, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan Titan compete for the same parking spaces. The Nissan Titan's longer wheelbase will likely result in a smoother, more stable ride; however, the Chevrolet Colorado may give a more agile feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
You will doubtless have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Chevrolet Colorado than with the Titan.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Chevrolet to the dealership as the Nissan Titan. The Nissan Titan pales in comparison to the Colorado regarding gas mileage. The Chevrolet Colorado will save you money at the pump compared to the Nissan Titan. With respect to MSRP, the Chevrolet Colorado costs markedly less than the Nissan Titan. The Chevrolet Colorado will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the Titan.

Handling
The Nissan Titan and the Chevrolet Colorado have roughly comparable tires. With their comparable turning radii, the Colorado and the Nissan Titan very likely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Chevrolet's engine is tremendously smaller than the Titan's. Note that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the flip side, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. The Chevrolet Colorado could learn a lesson or two from the Titan as far as torque. Torque equals pickup, and the Nissan Titan will have picked up and gone by the time the Chevrolet Colorado finally gets moving.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Nissan Titan's front cabin compared to the Chevrolet Colorado.

Overview
The Nissan Titan and the Chevrolet have the same basic warranty.

Other
The Nissan emits fewer smog-forming pollutants per 15,000 miles than the Chevrolet Colorado.
