2009 Cadillac XLR-V Overview
As the most expensive, fastest, and bombastic vehicle in Cadillac’s lineup, the 2009 Cadillac XLR-V roadster is a perfectly-tuned luxury sports car with absolutely no compromises.

Touting a supercharged 4.4-liter, 443-horsepower Northstar V-8 engine with a deep well of torque, the XLR-V is the absolute quickest production Cadillac ever. The six-speed automatic overdrive transmission features Performance Algorithm Shifting and Driver Shift Control, which shifts smoothly and allows the driver to manually rip through the gears without a traditional clutch. A rear-wheel drive layout is the perfect setup for high-performance driving and dry-weather handling.   Along with the XLR Platinum model, The XLR-V receives a sleeker, more modern front and rear end with new fender vents and specific grilles for each model.

The near 50/50 weight distribution ensures optimally balanced handling and responsiveness. Standard Magnasteer steering offers a nicely boosted steering feel that responds to vehicle speed and driver input. Helping to achieve the balance between road feel and comfort is Magnetic Ride Control, which features adjustable, computer-controlled shock absorbers.

Inside the cockpit, hand-wrapped top grain leather surfaced interior, suede-fabric seat inserts, exotic Zingana wood appointments, and kinetic aluminum trim create a feeling of pleasure and luxury. The gorgeous 10-spoke, 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels with run-flat performance tires allow you to drive up to 100 miles after being punctured.  The power retractable hardtop opens in less than 30 seconds with the touch of a button. Along with bright Xenon High-Intensity Discharge Headlamps, standard Adaptive Forward Lighting automatically adjusts headlamp direction while turning for improved nighttime illumination. The standard audio/navigation system include a 6.5-inch LCD touch-screen, Bose® Sound System with nine speakers, DVD navigation and movies, voice recognition technology, and detailed maps for the perfect road trip assistant.

Safety features include standard all-speed Traction Control with integrated four-wheel disc brakes with ABS to minimize wheelspin on slippery surfaces and provide excellent stopping power. Standard StabiliTrak stability control keeps the roadster stable during quick emergency maneuvers. Dual front airbags and seat-mounted side impact airbags protect driver and passenger in a collision.

If you want the absolute pinnacle of exotic looks, performance, and luxury from an American automaker, the 2009 Cadillac XLR-V has no peer.
