Cadillac STS vs. Jaguar XF Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Cadillac STS and the Jaguar are genuine speedsters.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Cadillac STS and the XF quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Jaguar XF's engine is substantially more sizeable than the STS's. Remember that more massive engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Cadillac STS could learn a lesson or two from the Jaguar XF regarding torque. Torque equals pickup, and the Jaguar XF will have picked up and gone by the time the STS finally gets moving.

Utility
Neither the Cadillac STS nor the XF has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. Towing is considerably more the Jaguar XF's forte than it is the Cadillac STS's.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Jaguar XF than with the Cadillac STS.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Jaguar XF offers a bit more head room than the STS, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Cadillac STS make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Jaguar XF.

Dimensions
The Jaguar XF is significantly more bulky than the Cadillac STS. The Cadillac STS's tank is almost the same size as the Jaguar XF's, though the Jaguar XF's is somewhat bigger. The Jaguar XF and the Cadillac STS compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Cadillac to the dealership as the Jaguar XF. Producing a precise gas mileage evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Cadillac STS is the winner with respect to fuel economy. In terms of gas mileage, the Cadillac has the Jaguar XF beat. The Jaguar XF is significantly costlier than the Cadillac STS when it comes to MSRP. The Cadillac STS will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the Jaguar XF.

The Jaguar XF and the Cadillac STS have the same basic warranty.
