The Cadillac STS's tank is about the same size as the BMW 535's, though the 535's is a bit larger. The BMW and the Cadillac STS compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the BMW 535 than with the Cadillac STS, because both offer similar ranges.

Cost
In terms of fuel economy, the Cadillac STS and the BMW 535 don't differ much. The BMW 535 doesn't pale in comparison to the Cadillac when it comes to gas mileage. The Cadillac STS isn't much more expensive than the BMW 535 as far as MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Cadillac STS and the BMW 535 most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The BMW's engine is substantially smaller than the Cadillac STS's. Keep in mind that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the BMW 535 isn't much more powerful than the Cadillac STS. The Cadillac has no lessons to learn with respect to torque from the BMW 535.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the BMW 535 offers a bit more head room than the Cadillac, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Cadillac STS provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the BMW 535 does.

Warranty
The BMW 535 and the Cadillac STS have the same basic warranty.
