Cadillac STS vs. BMW 528 Review

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac STS packs quite a wallop and will knock the 528 down a few rungs. On the flip side, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Cadillac and the BMW most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The BMW 528's engine is substantially smaller than the STS's. Remember that smaller engines can be stressed more; however, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque equals pickup, and the Cadillac STS will have picked up and gone by the time the BMW 528 finally gets moving.

Utility
The Cadillac STS and the BMW can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
The Cadillac STS's fuel tank will need to be replenished a tad more often than the unit in the BMW 528.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the BMW 528 offers a bit more head room than the STS, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Cadillac STS make it more spacious for your passengers than the BMW.

Dimensions
The Cadillac STS's tank is about the same size as the BMW 528's, though the BMW 528's is a little larger. The 528 and the Cadillac compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
Regarding gas mileage, the Cadillac and the BMW 528 don't differ much. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Cadillac STS is a tad more economical than the BMW 528. As far as MSRP, the Cadillac STS costs substantially more than the BMW 528.

Warranty
The BMW and the Cadillac STS have the same basic after-sale protection.
