Cadillac SRX vs. Porsche Cayenne Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Cadillac SRX and the Porsche are true speedsters.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Porsche Cayenne and the SRX most definitely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Porsche Cayenne's engine is a bit smaller than the Cadillac SRX's, but not terribly so. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Cadillac isn't much more powerful than the Cayenne.

Utility
There's no obvious winner between the Cadillac and the Porsche with respect to hauling capacity. The SRX will doubtless prove friendlier than the Porsche Cayenne for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Porsche Cayenne outpulls the SRX by a large margin.

Convenience
You'll very likely have to take the Cadillac SRX for a fill-up more often than the Porsche because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the SRX offers a bit more head room than the Porsche Cayenne, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Cadillac SRX make it significantly more spacious for your passengers than the Porsche Cayenne.

Dimensions
The Porsche is markedly more ponderous than the Cadillac SRX. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Cayenne than the Cadillac SRX because of its bigger tank. The Cayenne and the Cadillac SRX compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Cadillac SRX to the dealership as the Porsche Cayenne. When it comes to gas mileage, the Cadillac SRX and the Porsche Cayenne don't differ much. The Cadillac SRX will save you money at the pump compared to the Porsche Cayenne. As far as MSRP, the Porsche Cayenne costs quite a bit more than the Cadillac.

Overview
The Cayenne and the Cadillac have the same basic after-sale protection.
