Cadillac SRX vs. HUMMER H2 SUV Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Cadillac SRX is quite a bit cheaper to get to the dealership than the H2. When it comes to MSRP, the HUMMER H2 costs considerably more than the Cadillac SRX.

Utility
The HUMMER is likely a better choice than the Cadillac SRX as far as hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of cargo or large beasts. The SRX will definitely prove friendlier than the HUMMER for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The HUMMER H2 outpulls the Cadillac by a sizeable margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the H2 offers a bit more head room than the SRX, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Cadillac SRX is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the H2.

Dimensions
The HUMMER H2 is tremendously heavier than the Cadillac. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the HUMMER than the Cadillac SRX because of its more capacious tank. The H2 rides lower than the Cadillac SRX, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The HUMMER H2 and the Cadillac SRX compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Cadillac SRX and the HUMMER H2 are full-blown sportscars. With its tiny horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Cadillac SRX will knock you back into your seat when you hit the gas pedal.

Handling
The HUMMER has quite a bit wider tires than the Cadillac SRX. Note that wider tires could improve handling, while narrower tires could improve gas mileage. With its tighter turning radius, the Cadillac SRX is very likely nimbler than the HUMMER, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The HUMMER H2's engine is significantly larger than the SRX's. Keep in mind that bigger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Cadillac SRX could learn a lesson or two from the H2 as far as torque. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the H2 is significantly more powerful than the Cadillac.

Overview
The HUMMER H2 and the Cadillac have the same basic after-sale protection. Regarding warranty against rust, the Cadillac SRX and the HUMMER have the same coverage.

Other
The Cadillac emits fewer smog-forming pollutants per 15,000 miles than the H2.
