Cadillac SRX vs. Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Cadillac SRX is markedly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Chevrolet Suburban. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Cadillac SRX is a tad more economical than the Chevrolet. With respect to gas mileage, the Cadillac has the Chevrolet beat. With respect to MSRP, the Suburban doesn't cost much less than the Cadillac SRX.

Utility
The Chevrolet Suburban's more sizeable trunk will accommodate more large things than the SRX. Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Chevrolet Suburban over the SRX. Towing is considerably more the Chevrolet Suburban's forte than it is the Cadillac SRX's.

Convenience
You'll doubtless have to take the Cadillac for a fill-up more often than the Suburban because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet Suburban offers a bit more head room than the Cadillac SRX, there really isn't much of a difference. The Cadillac SRX is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Chevrolet Suburban.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet Suburban is considerably more ponderous than the Cadillac SRX. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Chevrolet Suburban than the Cadillac SRX because of its bigger tank. The SRX and the Chevrolet compete for the same parking spaces. The Chevrolet Suburban's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the other hand, the SRX may give a nimbler feel in daily traffic.

Performance
With its very low horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Cadillac SRX will knock you back into your seat when you step on the gas.

Handling
The Cadillac SRX and the Chevrolet have approximately similar tires. With its tighter turning circle, the Cadillac SRX is definitely more maneuverable than the Suburban, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Cadillac SRX's engine is considerably smaller than the Chevrolet's. Note that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the other hand, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. The Cadillac SRX has no lessons to learn regarding pickup from the Chevrolet Suburban.

Overview
The basic warranty that comes with the Chevrolet isn't quite as generous as the Cadillac SRX's.

Other
The Cadillac SRX produces fewer smog-forming pollutants per 15,000 miles than the Chevrolet Suburban.
