2010 Cadillac SRX Overview
If you’re looking to blend the performance elements of a sports sedan with the safety capabilities of an SUV, you might want to check out the Cadillac SRX, which has been completely redesigned for the 2010 model year, bringing it to the forefront of the midsize luxury crossover segment.
More dynamic and efficient than its competitors — Acura MDX, Lexus RX 350, and Mercedes Benz ML350 — the front-wheel-drive 2010 Cadillac SRX’s new engine lineup replaces the previous generation’s 3.6- and 4.6-liter engines. The SRX is now powered by a new 265-horsepower, direct-injected 3.0-liter V-6 and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. Direct injection will provide you more power, better fuel economy and lower emissions, resulting in a 10- to 15-percent fuel economy improvement over the previous standard engine. In addition, a 300-horsepower, 2.8-liter turbocharged V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission is optional and will be introduced in the middle of the 2010 model year. The 2010 Cadillac SRX receives 17-18 mpg in the city and 23-25 mpg on the highway.
Boasting a wide stance, the 2010 Cadillac SRX can seat five passengers comfortably and offers generous occupant and cargo room. If you’re looking to do some hauling, the SRX can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. Known for its bold design, the 2010 Cadillac SRX features a multi-piece shield grille and vertical headlamps. Eighteen-inch wheels are standard and 20-inch wheels are available for big-wheel aficionados.
The 2010 Cadillac SRX features several advanced electronic systems, including a pop-up navigation screen in the dashboard with three-dimensional imaging, adaptive forward lighting that swivels the headlamps in the direction you steer the vehicle, power liftgate with programmable height setting, integrated hard disc drive for audio storage, and a dual-screen system for rear entertainment. Bluetooth compatibility and OnStar’s Turn-by-Turn Navigation service are standard for buyers who do not select the navigation system option.
Performance and safety are enhanced by available all-wheel-drive, StabiliTrak electronic stability system with traction control, head curtain side airbags, front seat-mounted pelvic/thorax side airbags, front safety belts with dual pretensioners and load limiters, rollover mitigation sensors, and trailer stability assist.
When it comes to offering comparable luxury, engine performance, fuel economy and advanced safety features at a non-luxurious price, the 2010 Cadillac SRX is the luxury crossover you’ve been waiting for.
