2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV Overview
Luxury and comfort abound and come bigger than ever in the extended and stylish 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV SUV.
The 2011 Escalade ESV is an extended-length version of a normal Escalade, and retains the same power and luxury while adding extra interior room. Speaking of power, the Escalade ESV is driven by an exciting 403-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 boasts 417 pounds-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard and all-wheel drive is available. The AWD comes in handy, allowing for 7,800 pounds of maximum towing capacity for those who like to take their toys with them to the great outdoors. Fuel economy isn’t the greatest, but that’s not why you are interested in the 2011 Escalade ESV anyway. The ESV receives an EPA-estimated 13-14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway and is FlexFuel E85 capable.
Available in four trims (base, Luxury, Premium and Platinum), the 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV competes with other large luxury SUVs like the Lexus LX 570 and Lincoln Navigator L. The ESV is built on the same platform as the Chevy Suburban and is 20 inches longer than the regular Escalade. Automatic jeweled headlamps, daytime running lights, fog lights, heated/power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, luggage rack, front tow hooks, a power liftgate, and 18-inch wheels are all standard features. For added style and luxury, a power sunroof, 20-inch wheels, LED headlamps, IntelliBeam headlamps, and power retractable running boards are optional.
On the inside, the 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV’s extended length pays huge dividends for legroom in the third row and cargo space behind it. Third-row occupants gain approximately 10 inches of legroom, while cargo room behind the third row is an astounding 45.8 cubic feet. Seat up to eight occupants or for optimal cargo room, fold the second row and remove the third row for 137.4 cubic feet of utility space. Leather upholstery, automatic climate control, power-operated front seats, a navigation system, front and rear bucket seats, heated driver and front passenger seats, Bluetooth® connectivity, and auxiliary input jacks for your iPod are just some of the standard features. A rear-seat entertainment system with a DVD player and two roof-mounted flip-down eight-inch screens and heated and cooled cup holders are optional.
Safety features in the 2011 Escalade ESV include four-wheel-disc antilock brakes, an electronic stability system with rollover mitigation technology, side curtain airbags for all three rows, and a rearview backup camera are standard. A suite of OnStar safety technologies and communications also come standard and notify the authorities in the event of an accident.
Fit the family, the team, and all of their gear in the large, in-charge, and luxurious 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV.
