2010 Buick LaCrosse Overview
With radical changes to the interior and exterior and several new cutting-edge features, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse has shed its competent yet uninspiring image and is now a midsize luxury sedan force to be reckoned with.
If it weren’t for the classic Buick emblem on the new bold waterfall grille, you would not recognize the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. Traditional meets modern with the new curved, side sweepspear lines, LED taillights, sleek headlamps and aforementioned bold grille. The LaCrosse is available in three trims, the CX, CXL — available with all-wheel drive — and CXS, and has three engines. The CX and CXL are equipped with a 255-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine, and the CXS boasts a 280-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with auto-manual. A 182-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder Ecotec engine, available later this year, provides excellent fuel economy. Speaking of fuel economy, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse receives 16-17 mpg in the city and 26-27 mpg on the highway with the V-6 engines and 20/30 mpg city/highway with the Ecotec. The LaCrosse competes with the Mercury Milan, Volkswagen Passat and Chrysler 300.
Once inside the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, you’ll be blown away by the sweeping changes from plastic and mundane to refined and exciting. Wood accents and leather seating blend with the flush center console, steering column and tachometer. The available Head-Up Display allows you to view instrumentation such as speedometer, turn-signal indicators, audio system and cruise control without taking your eyes off the road. Ambient LED lighting sets the mood, while the available panoramic sunroof showers you with sunshine. A navigation system, heated and ventilated leather-appointed seats, dual rear-seatback DVD screens, Bluetooth connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and panoramic sunroof are all exciting features.
Keeping you, your family and friends safe has never been easier than with the 2010 Buick LaCrosse’s numerous safety features. Anti-lock brakes with traction control, dual front airbags, dual side-impact airbags, and head-curtain side-impact airbags are standard. Ultra-sonic rear parking assist and side blind zone alert help prevent collisions, while OnStar’s Automatic Crash Response notifies emergency personnel, roadside assistance and performs vehicle diagnostics.
Back and better than ever, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse has become a major player in the semi-luxury segment with a fresh design, refined appointments and reasonable sticker price.
