Buick Enclave vs. Toyota Highlander Hybrid Review

Utility
The Buick Enclave will definitely prove more practical than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid outpulls the Buick Enclave by a massive margin.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Buick Enclave packs quite a wallop and will knock the Toyota down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Buick Enclave than the Highlander Hybrid because of its larger tank. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the Buick Enclave compete for the same parking spaces. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a nimbler feel in daily traffic than the Buick Enclave.

Convenience
The Enclave's fuel tank will need to be replenished a tad more often than the unit in the Toyota.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Enclave to the dealership as the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Toyota Highlander Hybrid is the winner as far as fuel economy. The Buick won't tax your gas budget considerably more than the Toyota will. When it comes to MSRP, the Enclave doesn't cost much less than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. The Highlander Hybrid will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the Buick Enclave.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Highlander Hybrid and the Buick Enclave quite certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Buick Enclave's engine isn't much bigger than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid's. The Highlander Hybrid could learn a lesson or two from the Buick Enclave in terms of pickup. Torque equals pickup, and the Buick Enclave will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota Highlander Hybrid finally gets moving.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota Highlander Hybrid offers a bit more head room than the Buick, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Highlander Hybrid make it substantially more spacious for your passengers than the Buick Enclave.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Toyota Highlander Hybrid isn't quite as generous as the Buick Enclave's.
